CREW CONCERT

Big announcement: Catskill Crew has always been about bringing folks together and having some good ol’ times. So it was an obvious choice to team up with Keep Good Company Records (run by the husband-and-wife duo Matt and Tina Baione) to present two glorious nights of live music.

Good people, great venues, and incredibly talented artists with deep roots to the region…

Lost Leaders began in Levon Helm’s barn, right in Woodstock. Byron Isaacs (of The Lumineers) and Peter Cole (of Lava Baby) have released three albums together and landed on the Americana charts. This November, Byron will be on break from the Lumineers tour, and Lost Leaders will return to where it all started.

Ginger Winn has quickly become one of the Hudson Valley’s most compelling new songwriters. Originally from Charleston, she came north to record her debut album with David Baron (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, Lenny Kravitz) at Sun Mountain Studio in Boiceville — and never left.

SHOW DETAILS:
Saturday, Nov. 15th at The Falcon (Marlboro, NY) music starts at 7:30 pm.
Friday, Nov. 21st at Park Theater (Hudson, NY) doors open at 7:00 pm

Live music in the Catskills and Hudson Valley always hits different and these shows plan to deliver. We put together a playlist so you can give them both a listen before the shows. Tickets are limited — so grab them while you can and let’s have some fun!

TRAIL-A-THON

The New York–New Jersey Trail Conference is a volunteer-powered nonprofit that builds, maintains, and protects more than 2,100 miles of our public trails across the Northeast (including some of my favorite trails right here in the Catskills).

I’ve been chatting with the fine folks over there to help spread the word about their annual Trail-A-Thon, a community-driven fundraiser that helps preserve tomorrow’s trail lands.

The fundraiser runs from October 1st to the 31st and is open to anyone, anywhere — and you can hike it, bike it, run it, or whatever you’d like. Every mile you track and dollar you raise goes right back into maintaining public trail lands.

But instead of just writing about it, I decided to jump right into it. You can donate directly to my campaign (and judge me for how many miles I stack up) — or better yet, start your own journey, and together we’ll raise money for a good cause!

THE BULLETIN

Want to spread the good word about your business, a project you’re working on, a hire, or just want to say hi to 40,000 friends?

StockadeFaire is a vibrant, annual autumn street festival held in Uptown Kingston’s historic Stockade District. Transforming 8 blocks around Wall Street and North Front Street into a communal feast of culture, commerce, and shared joy—right in the heart of the Hudson Valley! Saturday, October 4th from 11am to 11pm. Learn more and RSVP.

Seeds Under Nuclear Winter: An Earth Opera is an immersive community experience of dreams, visions, and mythic stories through world and sacred music, performance art, dance, and light. Now in its fifth and final year in the Hudson Valley, this experimental theater piece brings together 40 intergenerational artists in a work created especially for the Sanctuary of Old Dutch Church — its choir balconies, altars, archways, and massive wall of pipe organ drone (2,221 pipes). Happening on October 3rd and 4th at 7:30pm in Kingston. Get your tickets here.

Graze Fall Barn Dinner Enjoy cocktails, small bites, and a candlelit multi-course farm-to-table feast made with Hudson Valley ingredients and wine. With only 20 seats available, this unique October 25th gathering in Leeds is perfect for a night out or weekend getaway. Get your tickets here.

CATSKILL-OPOLY Embark on an unforgettable journey through the Catskills. Free shipping and I write a little note in each box because it’s better that way. Have some fun.
