Welcome in my friends. Got a good one for you this week — bugs, apologies, happenings, and a meditation that probably won't relax you. Enjoy and I'll see ya out there.

BIG BUG ENERGY
New limited hat drop. Very very limited. This is our first dad cap which was demanded by Crew Members. You want it, you got it.
Naturally, when bugs are involved, we join forces with our in-house Chief Bug Officer: Ivy who helped with designs and wrote a few fun facts on each of our featured arthropods.

MEET OUR BUGS…
PLANTHOPPER: A delightful cross between a grasshopper and a leaf, they are capable of leaping over 100 times their body’s length.
MILKWEED BUG: Their colors highly resemble monarch butterflies, the other primary feeder of milkweed, because of aposematism: coloration that warns predators of their toxic and bitter taste.
YELLOW GARDEN ORB WEAVER: These brilliant garden dwellers create webs with a characteristic stabilimentum: a thick zigzag pattern believed to strengthen the web and make it visible to birds.
CADDIS: Some orders of caddis will create protective and portable tubes from pebbles, sand, twigs, or leaves. These “cases” will help protect the larvae from predators and swift currents.
DAMSELFLY: Another patient nymph species that can exist in their nymph state for 1-5 years before emerging as adults and living for about a month. They possess a unique approach to especially hot weather- performing a “handstand” with their abdomen pointing at the sun to minimize their sun exposure.
PILLBUG: With no smell and poor eyesight, they will use tiny hairs (setae) located on their legs and mouthparts to detect their surroundings, find food, and sense other pillbugs.

CATSKILL GRAND
Apparently the April Fools day joke about a Woodstock Casino caused widespread panic, coalitions, and calls to town hall... whoops.
I genuinely thought the 60 foot statue of the lamprey would have been obvious. My mistake — I underestimated the lamprey's plausibility. Prepare yourselves for next year. I'll do better. Or worse.

SPRING CLEANING
TOGETHER WITH PINK'S
Spring is officially here, my good people. Time to schedule the clean and get your home back in tip-top shape. Brush off the cobwebs, get those windows sparkling, empty out the gutters, and get the deck ready for grill season.
There's no better team to get the job done than the great folks at Pink's. They show up when they say they will, and they do the work that has earned them hundreds of 5 star reviews.

MEDITATIONS
I launched a new meditation series. I use the word "meditation" loosely — and I cannot, in good conscience, promise that you'll feel fully relaxed afterward. Breathe in, breathe out.

40,000 CREW MEMBERS
We’re pretty picky.
