Catskill Crew Newsletter 🐺
Letter #20
Hey There…
Events can change, because things happen and I’m not perfect…

🎟️ Our First Event
The people have spoken (yet again), voting unanimously in favor of throwing some Catskill Crew Hangouts and picking Ulster County as our first location.
So, now all that is left is choosing the oh so important place and time. A few venues have reached out and we’re locking in the details for the first event. Considering this community is 90% locals, we’re thinking about putting it on during those quieter Catskill Tuesdays. Final details are coming your way in the next newsletter.

🛒 Online Shop
The Catskill Crew shop is live! There are plans in the works to add more goodies, but I don’t want to spoil any surprises quite yet. Stayed Tuned.

Looking forward to seeing some green on one of my favorite creeks
🎣 Tie a Fly
I like to describe winter fly fishing as enjoyable suffering. You usually cant feel your fingers or toes and the fish are slower moving and less apt to take the fly. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been having the most success with the Frenchies. It’s a highly effective winter fly pattern that’s fairly easy to whip up on the vice - I mean, if I can do it, you can do it, trust me. With some warmer temps on the horizon, it’s a good time to get out on the rivers. So tie ‘em or buy ‘em and go have some fun.

👨🔬 Chugability Report

Subject: Catskill Brewery, Night Shine, Black Lager
Rating: 15 / 10 stars ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️
Notes: Catskill Brewery in Livingston Manor is a pitstop when fishing the Beaver Kill and Willowemoc. Their black lager is super smooth with notes of coffee and chocolate. Strong yes for me. Go get your hands on one or many.
