Letter #19
Hey Thereā¦
February 26th
Events can change, because things happen and Iām not perfectā¦

šÆ Letās Hang Out
Well friends, weāre about to hit 2,000 members in our little-big Catskill Crew community, and it only feels appropriate that we start hanging out⦠you know, in the real world.
So, having said that, Iām starting to talk to some fine establishments across the Catskills to host a monthly happy hour and maybe something bigger down the line.
Let me know if youād have any interest š³ļø
Would you come to a Catskill Crew Happy Hour? |
š³ļø Update: Catskill Crew Card
The cards have arrived!
I asked everyone who said they were interested to set the price, and the people have spoken⦠$25 per card.

DEALS VALID TILL END OF YEAR

Iāll get a Shopify set up soon to simplify the purchase process, but I need more caffeine first. Iāll pick the winner of the Steven Weinberg print on Monday. May the odds be ever in your forever š¤

š£ Fly Fishing in the Catskills
A bunch of you have reached out around our shared āaddictionā of fly fishing, and given the historical role it has played in the Catskills, Iāll see what else we can do around integrating it further into Catskill Crew. But in the meantime, I wanted to share one of my favorite local documentaries about fly fishing: Land of Little Rivers created by Aaron Weisblatt and Bruce Concors. Its a good one!
š Flying Goose Tavern
Thereās a new kid on the block, Flying Goose Tavern located on Main St in Kerhonkson just celebrated its grand opening. Iāll be stopping by real soon to check it out and suggest you all do as well.

šØāš¬ Chugability Report
Disclaimer: Donāt actually chug this, pleaseā¦
Winter time is when I reach for the ābrown waterā and one of my favorites is the Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Do Good Spirits located in Roscoe, aka Trout Town USA.

Whether you drink it neat, with a cube, a tray of cubes, or mixed into your favorite concoction, this will keep you warm all winter long.
