Welcome back and thanks for stopping in. It’s a packed week, so I’ll keep it quick: swing by The Pines tonight (Tuesday, June 17th at 5pm onwards) for Burger Fest. Hope you enjoy and see ya out there.

FIELD REPORT: ACCORD & KERHONKSON
These two small towns, tucked against one another, have no shortage of great spots to hike, take a dip, grab a bite, find a drink, or shop. Whether you can correctly pronounce Accord or Kerhonkson doesn’t matter - this is a no-nonsense guide to help you get out there and explore.
Grab a pen (or Ticonderoga #2) and some paper, it’s time to start plotting your next adventure.

Minnewaska State Park Preserve
In this 22,000-acre State Park on the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge you’ll find cliffs, big views, and sky lakes surrounded by dense hardwood forests. There are over 50 miles of trails and multiple waterfalls, including the crowd pleaser, Awosting Falls.
Mohonk Preserve
New York’s largest nonprofit nature preserve with more than 8,000-acres. The land was originally part of the Smiley family’s holdings at Mohonk Mountain House and is now protected - offering carriage roads, rock scrambles, and the famous Lemon Squeeze, a narrow crevice with wooden ladders at the end of the Labyrinth trail.
Vernooy Kill Falls
A short hike in Sundown Wild Forest will lead you through hemlocks and streams, past the mossy stone ruins of a 19th-century mill, and to tiered waterfalls. Watch your step, this is rattlesnake country.
Catskill Native Nursery
This historic 1820s homestead, houses 600 species of native plants — you’ll find everything from perennials to water lilies — mostly from locally sourced seedstock. It’s part nursery and part outdoor classroom.
Saunderskill Farms
A family-run farm on a historic homestead that’s been continuously operated since 1680, and honored with the extremely rare USDA Tricentennial Award. Stop by the farmstand, check out the bakery, and pick your own strawberries, blueberries, apples, and more.
Harana Market
This beloved Filipino deli and pantry is run by James Beard semifinalist Chris Mauricio. This place has a devoted - dare I say cult - following. You’ll understand once you try the rice bowls and lumpia. Go now. (Also on the Catskill Crew Card)
Ravenwood
A blend of farming, food, and design, all within a restored 1850s dairy barn. Stop by during the day for caffeine and shopping - then stick around as the sun sets, fires are lit, BBQ served, and cocktails poured. This is truly a unique spot to check out. Open May through October.
Mill & Main
A creekside restaurant and coffee shop right on the banks of the Rondout Creek. The seasonal menu offers American fare with Latin, Italian, and Caribbean influence. Grab a spot at the bar, or hang out back — bring a fly rod so you’re ready when you spot the trout rising.
Flying Goose Tavern
Your neighborhood bar and hangout, right on historic Main Street in Kerhonkson - it’s got all the accoutrements you need, from the backyard and river views, to cold drinks, firepits, and food trucks. Swing by, belly up, and enjoy.
Starlite Motel
A restored 1960s motor lodge with just the right amount of retro, a pool, and no TVs. Every Friday night Catskills Cocktail Club sets up shop and slings top-tier drinks with food pop-ups. You don’t need a room key to hang, but you might wish you had one.
Inness
You’ve probably heard of it, but perhaps you haven’t been yet. This is the “fancy-shmancy” pick my friends — a 225-acre resort with cabins, a restaurant, spa, pool, farm shop, views, and more. It’s now open to the public and worth checking out.

INVITE

I want to formally invite you fine folks to the Second Annual July 4th Party at Deer Mountain Inn. Last year was a blast, so we’ve locked in round two!
Free entry, BBQ by Chef Corwin Kave, Martini making classes with Isolation Proof & Method Vermouth, DJ Harlan spinning vinyl, cash bar and oysters. Stick around, book a room, and get 15% off with the code CATSKILLCREW.
