MUSHROOM MADNESS
The time has come. The very first Mushroom Madness event is coming to town and it's going to be a grand time.
I teamed up with the amazing humans at Hilltown Commons in Rensselaerville (which, if you haven't been, you should fix that).
The property is a special place — dating back over 100 years and best described as a campus for the curious. Sprawling across 90 acres, there are trails, beautiful residences, a theatre, a lake, a pub… and a bunch of goats that just kinda follow you around if they get out.
The day will be full-on mushroom stuff from morning to night. We'll be foraging with John the mycologist from Catskill Fungi, crafting mushroom paper with Roberta from BlueSpruceWandering, enjoying a beer tasting with Return Brewing, jamming to vinyl with DJ Harlan, and enjoying good food from Lil' Piece.

SKY: Get your binoculars and telescopes ready. Asteroid Irene reaches opposition on June 15th. This asteroid is 152 km across, orbits the sun every 4.16 years, and was discovered in 1851 by John Russell Hind.

The Third Annual Waterfall Sessions has SOLD OUT. Starring local legends Ginger Winn and Lost Leaders, with Byron Isaacs (of The Lumineers) and Peter Cole (of Lava Baby).
A portion of the proceeds go directly to the good people at Sound Future to support Billion Oyster Project through the Surf and Turf program which restores oyster reefs in our beloved Hudson River. See ya there.
Fellow Crew Member Evan Collier is one of the most creative humans you'll meet — designer, fabricator, educator, and executive director of MAKERSHIP. He's inviting the Crew to join him aboard his creation, Harvey the Disco Kitty in the Hudson Flag Day Parade.
The vehicle fits up to 40 folks so swing by and meet at the parade lineup right on State St, from Green to 7th at 3:30 PM, Saturday June 13th. All are welcome.
