Welcome back. Got a good ol’ newsletter for you this week. A few quick notes, I just pulled the trigger on a limited run of new Crew Hats. I think y’all are going to love them. More details to come. Also, shout out to Peter for getting some great pics from the July 4th party. They are up on the IG. Not linking because I don’t support doomscrolling. Anyways, enjoy the read, and I’ll see ya out there.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED

After many months and many iterations, our Catskill Mountains puzzle has arrived!

First and foremost, huge thank you to everyone that helped bring this to life — from the Crew Members who guided the design, to the brave and noble warriors who tested every twist and turn. I couldn’t have done it without you.

These 500-piece beauties are officially ready. They’re built to the highest quality and ready for summer days and cold winter nights. If you get one, please send me photos. P.S. I’m covering all shipping costs as a thank you to everyone.

RADIO CATSKILL

By now, you know I like to keep things local. So it shouldn’t surprise you to hear I listen to Radio Catskill (WJFF 90.5 FM). Some of the voices belong to friends, others to neighbors, and the rest are familiar strangers — but the whole thing feels like home, because it is.

I caught up with my friends at Radio Catskill to share what they’ve got going on, why it’s worth tuning in, and how we, as a community, can help shape what comes next.

Whether you’re a regular listener or haven’t touched a radio since your Walkman days, there’s never been a better time to tune in. Here are a few of my personal favorite programs:

Radio Chatskill (weekdays at 10am)
Hosted by local legend, Tim Bruno, Radio Chatskill serves up local news and interviews. It’s about what’s happening in our towns and who’s making those things happen. This is a good way to stay rooted and informed.

Shelf Life (Sundays at 12pm)
Hosted by Aaron Hicklin (yes, from One Grand Books in Narrowsburg), Shelf Life is a slower, smarter conversation every Sunday at noon. Writers, artists, locals, and wanderers stop by to talk about books, ideas, and everything in between. It’s unique, the kind of stuff you don’t hear on shuffle.

Connect the Dots (Thursdays at 9pm)
If you like your music with a narrative backbone, Connect the Dots is a ride. Every Thursday night, host David Christian picks a theme and stitches together music and personal storytelling — think mixtape meets memoir. You never know where it’s going, but you’ll want to follow along.

Farm & Country (Saturdays at 10am)
A long-running gem. Farm & Country gives you the grounded rhythm of rural life, from gardens, barns, weather, wildlife, and voices of people who live close to the land. It’s the Catskills in 30 minutes.

And now, Radio Catskill needs the Crew’s support more than ever. This message is sponsored by Radio Catskill as part of a community engagement initiative, giving us all a chance to chime in and share our thoughts.

First, they want to hear from you — listener or not — to help shape what comes next in their programming. DON’T JUST TUNE IN, SPEAK UP.

Second, they rely on local support to stay on-air. Funding threats are very real, and every donation and every dollar goes a long way to ensuring they don’t go anywhere. IF YOU CAN, PLEASE DONATE HERE.

No matter who you are or what you listen to, there’s something for you at Radio Catskill. The airwaves are alive, they never died — you just gotta tune in.
